National Day Of Prayer Service Is May 7th

The Dillon County Christian Ministerial Alliance is sponsoring a special National Day of Prayer service on May 7 at 12 noon in front of the Dillon County Courthouse.
This is the 64th annual National Day of Prayer and this year’s theme is “Lord, Hear Our Cry,” emphasizing the need for individuals to place their faith in the unfailing character of their Creator, who is sovereign over all authorities, governments and men.
The scripture verse being used this year is 1 Kings 8:28: “Hear our cry and the prayer that your servant is praying in your presence this day.”
“We are at a crucial time in the history of our nation, our state, and our county. Because of what is going on in the world around us and right here in Dillon County, we can do nothing of more importance than to pray,” said Rob Pierce, president of the Dillon County Christian Ministerial Alliance and pastor of Latta Baptist Church.
Various ministers and pastors from Dillon County will be participating in this special service. Everyone is invited to attend this special service and to pray for our communities, our county, our state, our country and our world.
