Main Street United Methodist Men’s Group Landscapes Pee Dee Coalition House Grounds

On Saturday, April 11th, the Main Street United Methodist Men were busy landscaping the grounds of the Pee Dee Coalition Against Domestic Violence, located at 301 North 1st Avenue in Dillon.
Their efforts included cleaning, edging, and pruning, as well as planting shrubs and flowering plants.
They also installed a handicapped accessible ramp, and they have taken on the task of the maintenance of this property for the summer.
For more than ten years this group of men has been volunteering to assist people in need. Members include Dr. Phil Wallace, President of the group, Ronnie “Catfish” Carter, Jewell McLaurin, Gary Sanders, Sam Johnson, Clyde Bailey, Lawrence Jordan, Timothy Snipes and Stephen Lynos. Another of their recent ministries was the installation of a handicapped accessible ramp for someone in the Mount Calvary area.
While others are enjoying time away from their busy jobs and hectic schedules for relaxation and recreation, at least once per month this group of men answers the call to carry out the mandate of our Lord to help those in need.
Main Street United Methodist Church is located at 401 West Main Street in Dillon.
