Cullums Honored For 20 Years Of Service To Dillon First Baptist Church

Dr. & Mrs. William R. Cullum, Jr. (Dickie & Dianne) were honored at a reception on Sunday evening, April 12, 2015, celebrating the 20th anniversary of their service at Dillon First Baptist Church. The fellowship hall was beautifully decorated and there was a wide array of food, including a pineapple tree, a colorful butterfly-shaped fruit display, and a cake decorated with a cross & calla lilies.
Mr. Charles Curry, chairman of the search committee which originally sought out and recommended Dr. Cullum as pastor, presented a brief history of the committee’s search for a new pastor in 1993. The members of the committee were recognized, which included Mrs. Jill Renfrow, who traveled from Gastonia, NC to attend the reception.
Gifts were presented to the Cullums from the church, as well as from individual church members. The Youth Department won the award for best gift – a can of hairspray – and it was NOT for Mrs. Cullum!
