Daddy was known for Stetson hats, red Chevrolet pickup trucks, and New Testament Gideon Bibles.

Committed is one word to describe him. He was committed first to The Lord and his family. He loved his wife and children, daughter in law, grandchild and grandson in law, and great granddaughters. He was a believer and diligent student of God’s word. He led by example at home and in the community. He was a prayer warrior at breakfast, lunch, supper, and at bedtime on his knees by his bed, in his quiet time and times we didn’t even know. He did what was right when no one was looking.

Generous is another description of Daddy. He provided for his family.  He was a strong and faithful supporter of Little Rock Baptist Church as a deacon and Sunday school teacher, and Royal Ambassador leader with the youth. He believed and supported Faith Promise missions. He and Mama opened our home to our missionaries. He boldly shared his faith with his family, friends and many others. His personal relationship with Jesus Christ was precious to him, and he wanted others to have the personal relationship with his Savior that is available to all who trust in Jesus Christ.  He went to others through prison ministry, supporting and laboring at Camp Pinehill, as a Gideon going to schools and local fair grounds for Bible distributions. He demonstrated his love to the church and community through suppers, suppers for law enforcement, hog donations for fundraisers and just good old fellowship suppers at the farm. He desired to be close to extended family with family gatherings at Grandpa’s under the pecan trees and then later at Nippert Hall. He provided the land right-away for water to be provided for a local industry and citizens of Little Rock. He served on the board of Pinehill Baptist Retreat and Trico Water Company and was a founding member of the Dillon Camp of Gideons.  While a young man, he took a personal interest in youth and carried them camping and bowling; he was the youth director of his day.

He was industrious and disciplined. He made our first air conditioner, an ice-filled galvanized tub in front of a window fan. He was a farmer of crops and as young children many of our days were with him and Mama working diligently on the harvest. His real love was his hogs, and he tended them with great attention. .He was up early, took a power nap in the middle of the day and worked long hours to complete the job at hand. He made time for the Lord. His personal relationship with Jesus Christ was never left unattended. No matter how late the hour there was always time for reading and studying God’s Word. His day was over when he bowed on his knees to commune one more time with His Lord. Galatians 2:20 says “I am crucified with Christ; nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” As the children of Jeff Price his testimony to us and to you is to give first place to Jesus Christ in your life, read  His Word, pray, and give.

We appreciate the loving care from his special caregivers Frances Hernandez, Sharone Guy, Jan Edwards, Dillon Internal Medicine Associates, Pruitt Hospice Staff, Carrie Jordan, RN and Vera Price, CNA.

Memorials may be made to Little Rock Baptist Church, Dillon Camp of Gideons, or Camp Pinehill.
