Charleston – David Graham Cottingham, 68, died at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC, Wednesday, April 15, 2015. Memorial services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Saturday, April 18, 2015 at the First Presbyterian Church in Dillon, SC. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 4:00 P.M. at the church prior to the service. Private interment will be held at a later date. Kannaday Funeral Home in Dillon is assisting the family.
Mr. Cottingham was born in Mullins, SC October 3, 1946, the son of the late Marion Graham and Kathleen Nicholson Cottingham. He was a Business Broker with Murphy Business and Financial Company. His many civic activities included being a former member of the Dillon Lion’s Club, a past member of the Board of St. Eugene Hospital, and a member of the Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce. David was a past-president of the Carolina-Virginia Business Brokers Association and a member of the International Business Brokers Association. He was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Lynda Barnes Cottingham; son, Kevin Lawrence Cottingham (Cheryl) of North Myrtle Beach, SC; daughter, Caroline Graham Cottingham of Myrtle Beach, SC; brothers, Mark Cottingham of Charleston, SC and Jon Cottingham (Janice) of Pawley’s Island, SC; and granddaughter, Kathleen Louise Cottingham.
