Lake View’s Lady Gators Earn Region Wins Over Bears, Raiders

Lake View’s Lady Wild Gators picked up wins over Carvers Bay and Hannah-Pamplico at home this week in varsity softball action.

On Monday, the Lady Gators hosted the Bears for a 6-2 win with both teams picking up runners in the first inning for a score of 1-1. The Bears added a second runner in the top of the second, but the Gators brought in two in the bottom of the inning for a 3-2 lead. Lake View picked up one more run in the third and scored two more in the fourth for the 6-2 lead and held on for the win.

Ally Spivey earned the win on the mound, pitching three innings for four hits, two runs, three walks, and four outs. McLain took the loss for Carvers Bay, pitching four innings for seven hits, six runs, four walks, and one out.

At bat for the Gators, Ashley Rogers went 2-for-4, Alex Elliott was 1-for-2 with two RBI, and Madison Green was 1-for-3 with one RBI. Lake View had seven hits and three errors in the win.

For Carvers Bay, Broach was 1-for-2 and Pope was 1-for-3. The Lady Bears has five hits and three errors in the effort.

On Tuesday, Lake View hosted Hannah-Pamplico for a 7-2 win. The Gators picked up their first runner in the bottom of the first, but the Lady Raiders added one in the top of the second to tie the game. Lake View picked up another runner in the bottom of the inning, but Hannah-Pamplico picked up another in the top of the third to keep the game tied 2-2. But Lake View went ahead with two runs in the third and three in the fourth, holding off the Raiders to seal the win.

Marissa Tyndall earned the win on the mound, pitching a complete game for five hits, two runs, two walks, and eight outs. Lindsay Prosser took the loss on the mound, pitching six innings for 13 hits, seven runs, and two outs.

At bat for the Gators, Ally Spivey went 3-for-4 with one RBI; Marissa Tyndall went 2-for-3 with one RBI; Kayla Page went 2-for-3 with two RBI; and Logan Spivey went 2-for-4.

Lake View improved to 9-5 overall and 4-1 in Region 8-A. The Lady Gators are scheduled to return to action on Tuesday at Dillon Christian School at 5:00 p.m. Make plans to attend to support our local teams!
