Dillon’s Lady Wildcats earned a 4-0 win over the Lake View’s Lady Wild Gators on Wednesday, March 11, to start the regular season of varsity softball action.
The Lady Cats scored first in the bottom of the second inning, and added one run each in the third, fourth, and fifth innings to seal the win.
Shaquailla German pitched a one-hitter, going all seven innings with 10 outs and two hit by pitch. Marissa Tyndall took the loss, pitching six innings for four runs, five hits, two walks, and five outs.
German also led the Wildcats at bat, going 1-for-2 with two RBI, and Auh’Keria Smiling went 2-for-3 with one run scored.
Ally Spivey got the only hit for the Gators at bat.
Dillon improved to 5-1 overall, while Lake View slipped to 1-1.
The Lady Wildcats were scheduled to travel to Latta on Monday and will host Loris tonight at 6:30 p.m.
