2015 Basketball State Champions Crowned

The 2015 boys and girls state basketball championship games were held over the weekend with new state champs crowned.

In girls basketball, the defending champs, the Latta Lady Vikings, fell 61-45 to Christ Church as the Cavaliers claimed the Class A title.

In Class 2A, Bishop England earned the third title in four years for the Lady Bishops as they defeated Pendleton 50-36.

In 3A action, Lancaster defeated Lakewood 44-42 for the state title, and in Class 4A, Spring Valley took a 53-46 win over Goose Creek for the championship.

In boys basketball, Burke defeated Fox Creek 61-42 for the Class A title, and in Class 2A, Keenan downed Ridgeland-Hardeeville 69-46 for the championship.

In Class 3A, Midland Valley earned a 62-56 win over A.C. Flora, and in 4A, Sumter took the crown with a 61-55 win over Hillcrest.
