SCDOT Plans I-95 Northbound Lane Closure From March 7-April 21

The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) plans to close one lane on northbound Interstate 95 for a bridge deck replacement on one span of the bridge over the Great Pee Dee River Bridge near the Florence-Dillon County line beginning Saturday, March 7.

            The half-mile lane closure at northbound mile marker 176 will begin at midnight Saturday, March 7. A single lane closure will remain in place continuously for 45 days while crews work to perform the deck replacement and plan to reopen all lanes to traffic on Tuesday, April 21 at 6 a.m.
Over Size-Over Weight (OSOW) trucks will be restricted to 11′ wide loads. All vehicles exceeding 11′ in width shall use the posted detour route. The posted detour route will be I-95 North to Exit 170 (SC 327) to SC 327 to US 76/ US 301 to US 301 to SC 38. The detour route will end by OSOW trucks returning to I-95 North at Exit 181.
Motorists traveling along this northbound section of I-95 are advised to use caution in the work zone and to expect traffic congestion.
