Savannah Evans Crowned Miss LVHS

On Friday, February 13, eighteen beautiful and intelligent young ladies competed for the title of Miss Lake View High School.

The theme for this year’s pageant was Welcome to New York. Sponsored by the Lake View High School Senior Beta Club and sponsors Mrs. Leslie Martin and Mrs. Eleanor Cox, this event took place in the Lake View Middle School Gym, with all proceeds benefiting the Beta Club’s spring trip. The emcees for the evening were current Senior Beta Club Members Kimberly Bethea and Jordan Williams.
With the hopes of selecting an articulate, intelligent, poised, and well-rounded queen, the three judges scored the eighteen contestants in three various categories. The first round of competition included the pre-pageant interview accounting for 40%, sportswear accounting for 30%, and evening gown accounting for 30%.
From the first three categories, a top ten was selected. Those fortunate ten finalists then competed in the final category, the onstage interview. After three very competitive categories, the following girls were selected as the top ten: Ashlynn Arnette, Taylor Bethea, Savannah Evans, Staci Humphrey, Ta’Tiyanna Lee, Haley Miller, Jessica Rogers, Morgan Rogers, Allison Spivey, and Logan Spivey.
After the final onstage interviews, senior Savannah Evans was crowned Miss Lake View High School 2015-2016 by Kayce Wong, the 2014-2015 Miss Lake View High School.  Miss Savannah Evans was sponsored by the Student Council.
She is the daughter of Allen and Samanthia Evans.  Savannah’s extra-curricular activities include: Leo Club, FFA, Principal’s Council, Varsity Cheerleading, Varsity Basketball.
