Pyerian Church Members Helping Homeless

Have you camped out, sleeping on the ground for fun/recreation? Imagine sleeping on the ground every night –out of necessity. You are homeless! You are exposed to the elements: heat, cold, rain, storms.
Members from Pyerian Baptist Church, Floyd Dale, SC, have discovered many homeless and their plight. A ministry called “Swash Park Ministries” in Myrtle Beach heard the cry of the homeless.
Men, women and children are fed and clothed. More importantly, their spiritual needs are being addressed. The gospel of Jesus Christ is presented to them.
Carol Stallings, a Mission Service Corps missionary, under the auspices of the North American Mission Board, was led by God to feed the homeless in the year 2000. Approximately two tons of food is prepared each year. There have been 168 salvations. An average of 60-65 homeless are reunited with their families each year.
Carol needs volunteers to prepare and serve meals at The Community Kitchen on Joe White Boulevard, in Myrtle Beach. Clothes and items of personal hygiene are needed. Any donation is deeply appreciated.
If anyone is interested, contact Pyerian Church for more information.
The group from Pyerian came home stating they received the blessing. As a result, their plans are to volunteer once a quarter.
