Girl Scouts Need Adult Volunteers To Help Form Area Troops

The Girl Scouts of Eastern South Carolina are interested in forming troops in the Dillon area. They will not be able to do this unless they have secured adult volunteers. Adults are needed as: Troop Leaders, Assistant Leaders, and Committee members (helpers). Yes, men can register as assistant leaders or committee members!
The mission of Girl Scouts is to build girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place. It is a safe place for girls to explore the world and discover their own potential. In a fun, enriching environment, girls develop values, abilities and skills to last a lifetime.

Girl Scouts value honesty, fairness, kindness, courage, personal responsibility, service, respect for self and others – these are timeless and you can teach girls to lead with these values despite the challenges they face in today’s world.
Volunteers come from all walks of life: parents, business and community.
Requirements include the completion of: volunteer application and background check and Introduction to Girl Scout training, Leadership Essentials and Grade Level training is provided for volunteers.
