Billy Wayne Blackmon, Sr., 62, died Monday, December 29, 2014 at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence.
Born in Dillon County, SC, May 5, 1952, he was the son of the late Charlie Blackmon and Martha Mumford Blackmon. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, and was the widower of Diane W. Blackmon.
Survivors include his daughter, Sheila Blackmon Taylor (Tommy) of Latta; son, Billy Wayne Blackmon, Jr.(Stacey) of Latta; brothers and sisters, Charles Blackmon and Chesley Blackmon, both of Latta, Ruthie Johnson and Brenda (Dale) Lambert, both of Hartsville, Linda Perritt of Latta, and Sandra (Kenneth) Evans of Darlington; grandchildren, Josh (Abby) Blackmon, Nick Blackmon, Christopher Blackmon, Brittany Herring, Samantha Taylor, Anna Taylor, and Katie Taylor; 2 great-grandchildren, Cayden Blackmon and Alaina Blackmon; best friends, Glenn Lane and Kathy Jackson.
There was an immediate family gathering at the home of Billy Blackmon on Saturday, January 3, 2015, at 3:30 p.m.
