First Baptist Church Holds Christmas Eve Candlelight Service

First Baptist Church of Dillon held a Christmas Eve Candlelight Service earlier this evening, December 24th. The prelude to worship was by Rebecca Coleman. The Call to Worship, Emmanuel, Hallowed Manger Ground, was by the FBC Worship Ministry. This was followed by the Christmas carol, “O Come, All Ye Faithful,” and Christmas greetings by Pastor Dickie Cullum. The lighting of the Christ Candle was done by the John Bracey family followed by the Christmas carol, “Joy To The World! The Lord Is Come.”

Bob Wilder gave the scripture reading, the Christmas story, Luke 2:1-20. Soloists, Jon and Martha Whisnand, performed “He Loved Us More” and “He’s More Wonderful.” The Christmas meditation was by Pastor Cullum. Katharine Moody performed “All Is Well.” This was followed by the Lighting of the Candles. “O Come, Let Us Adore Him” was sung followed by the benediction and the parting chorus, “Joy To The World.” The postlude was performed by Katharine Moody.
