A luminary service was held at Evergreen Perpetual Care Cemetery and Mausoleum on December 6.
This is a special occasion planned to assist people in honoring their loved ones and friends buried and entombed at Evergreen. The music, meditation, and the lighting of the luminary candles are all designed to bring comfort and hope as they celebrate God’s gift of memory.
The program was as follows: Prelude—Becky Elvington, Welcome—Rev. Rob Pierce, Christmas Melody—Debbie Hill, Christmas Meditation—Rev. Pierce, Instructions for lighting candles—Benny Cooper, and Postlude— Ms. Elvington.
This was followed by the lighting of the candles.
