Samuel Billy Lane, 82, died Sunday, November 9, 2014. Visiation will be held 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Cooper Funeral Home.
Born in Dillon County, SC, July 4, 1932, he was the son of the late Samuel Lane and Ora Lee Taylor Lane.
Survivors include his son, Tony (Kathy) Lane; daughters, Deborah Strickler and Tammy (Mithcell) Turner; 10 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 4 step-great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; brothers, Larry Lane, and Gene Lane, both of Latta, Charles Lane of Raleigh, NC, Edward Lane, Durwood Lane, Leo Lane, and Glenn Lane, all of Latta.
Mr. Lane was preceded in death by his daughters, Sandra Jo Lane Herring, and Gloria Wayrun Lane Green; sons, Billy Wayne Lane, and Samuel (Sammy) Billy Lane; sister, Katherine Lane Heatley; and brothers, David and Harold Lane.
