Kickboxing Event Crowns New Champion

On Saturday, October 11, 2014, the 2nd Annual IKF East Coast Muay Thai Kickboxing Championship was held at the City of Dillon Wellness Center. The event brought over 100 fighters from around the United States and from as far as Canada and Trinidad.

Local Super Heavyweight Fighter Terrance Davis won the IKF East Coast Super Heavyweight Championship after a second round TKO of 265-lb. Brandon Culver of Columbia, SC.

Trunity Grimsley, a 15-year-old student of Dillon Middle School, also won an exciting IKF Point Semi Contact match after defeating his opponent with a succession of kicks, punches and knees.

Austin Beasley, a 7-year-old who has won almost every tournament he has entered, did not compete this time due to no one being in his division but as always, he showed up ready to go for another win.

The event was promoted by AK Promotions and Super foot Fitness Club of Dillon.
