Memorial services for Peggy Jane Davis Welty were held 10:00 a.m. Sunday at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel in Dillon, SC, and 4:00 p.m. Saturday, September 20 at Jireh Independent Baptist Church in Bigler, PA with burial in Fairview Cemetery in Arentdsville, PA.
Mrs. Welty, 73, died Thursday, September 11, 2014 at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, SC.
Born in Bland, Virginia, February 4, 1941, she was the daughter of the late David Thurston Davis and Annie Mae Gravely Davis.
Survivors include her children, Doris Slusser of PA, Danny Welty of Marion, SC, Dale Welty of PA, Dianne Francis of Aynor, SC, Donald Welty of Beaufort, SC, and Deborah Welty of Lamar, SC.
Mrs. Welty was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Martin Welty; and her son, Duane Eric Welty.
