DETENTION CENTER HEALTH SERVICES PROPOSAL ACCEPTED
At a recent Dillon County Council meeting, County Administrator Clay Young told the Dillon County Council that Jail Administrator Johnny Sapp and Finance Director Richard Gaddy had reviewed the proposal to outsource inmate medical. Sapp said that other counties have this service and are pleased. He said that the amount is $115,680 for the first year. Gaddy said that this will also help with the medical reporting. He also stated the pool option is not recommended. Councilman T.F. Finklea motioned to accept the proposal. Councilman Archie Scott seconded and all were in favor.

ORDINANCES PASSED AT COUNTY COUNCIL MEETING
The Dillon County Council passed the third and final reading of two ordinances at a recent meeting.
The ordinances are:
-Third Reading – Ordinance Adopting and Approving Zoning Map Change #19 (Tax Map #032-00-00-129 Delaney Property Group, LLC) – The purpose is to allow for a business (Dollar General) to locate on the property. Councilman Bobby Moody motioned to have third reading by title only (as set for in the agenda and waive the actual reading) and approve the ordinance. Councilman Archie Scott seconded and all were in favor.
-Third Reading – Ordinance Adopting and Approving Zoning Map Change #20 (Tax Map #058-00-00-053 Marlboro Development Team, Inc.) – The purpose is to allow for the Harbor Freight Tools Retail Store. Councilman Bobby Moody motioned to have third reading by title only (as set for in the agenda and waive the actual reading) and approve the ordinance. Councilman Harold Moody seconded and all were in favor.
