Harlow Awarded Bronze Star Medal

CAMP LEJEUNE,  NC— Marine Major Mason Edwards Harlow was awarded a Bronze Star Medal at a special ceremony on 22 April 2014 held at Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune, in Jacksonville, North Carolina.  
The medal was presented by the Sixth Marines Regimental Commander to Major Harlow for meritorious achievement in connection with combat operations against the enemy while recently deployed in Afghanistan.  Attending the ceremony were his brother, Marine Lieutenant Colonel J. Porter Harlow (Judge Advocate – The Pentagon), and his father, Retired Marine Sergeant Major John Harlow.   Major Harlow is a 1995 graduate of Lake View High School and a 1999 graduate of The Citadel.  He was commissioned a second lieutenant of Marines upon graduation from The Citadel.  Major Harlow is an infantry officer assigned to the Sixth Marines and has 4 combat deployments to Iraq and 2 combat deployments to Afghanistan.  
He and his wife Elizabeth Snell Harlow live in Jacksonville, North Carolina with their children, John Michael (Jack) Harlow, Clara Elizabeth (Clara Beth) Harlow, and Edwin James Harlow.  His Parents are John and Coleen Moore Harlow of The Fork Community.
