Former Wildcat King Leaving USC

Bryce King

Former Dillon Wildcat Bryce King confirmed this week that he will be leaving the USC Gamecocks and will transfer to Mars Hill College in Mars Hill, North Carolina.

King, 6-foot-4, 320-lbs., originally signed with the University of South Carolina in 2013. He redshirted with the Gamecocks in his freshman season and was the third-team left guard.

King played center for the Wildcats and was a Shrine Bowl and Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl selection. He was a three-star prospect and was considered the sixth-best in the state and was ranked third-best center in the country by Rivals.

King is the second former Wildcat to leave the Gamecocks so far this year. Kwinton Smith also transferred from USC and is reportedly looking at James Madison University. Smith recently visited the school but said he also had plans to visit Coastal Carolina.
