Services for Layton Hayes will be held Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation is 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.prior to the service.
Mr. Hayes, 83, died Friday March 7, 2014 at Sunny Acres Nursing Home.
Born in Dillon County, August 17, 1930, he was the son of the late Edgar D. Hayes and Maybelle Page Hayes. He was a retired carpenter, and was the widower of the Mary A. Hayes.
Survivors include his sons and daughter in law, Donald and Louise Hayes of Calico Rock, Arkansas and James Hayes of Tennessee; 8 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
