An inmate was found dead at the Dillon County Detention Center on Monday.
Coroner Donnie Grimsley identifies the inmate as Andrew Monroe, age 26, of Latta.
Grimsley said that Monroe was sent to Grand Strand Medical Center for an autopsy.
The matter is still under investigation. The City of Dillon Police Department and SLED assisted by the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office are conducting the investigation.
