Lady Warriors Fall to Trinity-Byrnes

Dillon Christian School’s Lady Warriors fell 61-14 to the visiting Trinity-Byrnes Titans on Friday night in girls varsity basketball action.

Trinity-Byrnes took a 13-4 lead in the first quarter and lead 39-8 at the half. The Lady Titans outpaced the Warriors 22-6 in the second half to retain the win.

Samantha Carpenter led the 6-man Lady Warriors team in the effort with a team-high nine points and Jamie Carpenter added three with Madison King earning two.

Ayshia Scott led Trinity-Byrnes with a game-high 18 points and Logan Gibbs and Autumn Scott each earned 10. Gabrielle McElveen scored 6; Brenne Fisher, 5; Janie Fuller, 4; Rosie Clanton, 4; Sarah Nell Harwell, 2; and Jaycie Lawson, 2.

Trinity-Byrnes improved to 16-4 overall and remained undefeated in SCISA Region 4-2A.

Dillon Christian was scheduled to host Williamsburg Academy on Saturday in a makeup game, and was scheduled to host North Myrtle Beach Christian on Monday. The Lady Warriors will be away for the rest of the week, traveling to Carolina Academy on Tuesday and The King’s Academy on Friday.

The Warriors will wrap up the regular season on Tuesday, February 11, when they are scheduled to host Pee Dee Academy with junior varsity action beginning at 4:00 p.m. Make plans to attend to support our local teams!
