Latta School Board
Endorses Resolution
Dillon County Public-Private Partnership Board Chairman Haywood proctor asked Latta School Board members at their January meeting to endorse a resolution to partner with other educational fields to establish a plan to create a workforce investment center program and facility for the citizens of Dillon County.
Trustee Edward Bethea made a motion to approve the resolution with a second by Trustee Kyle Berry.
The vote was unanimous to approve the resolution.
New Latta School Named
The name of the new school in Latta will not be the Latta Early Childhood Center.
At the January meeting, the board voted to name the new school, Latta Elementary School. The motion was made by Trustee Kenneth Kitts and seconded by Trustee Edward Bethea.
