Gibson Cook, Jr., 61, died at Bethea Baptist Heathcare in Darlington, SC, Wednesday, December 11, 2013. Funeral services were held 3:00 P.M., Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Kannaday Funeral Home Chapel in Dillon with interment in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation was from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday, December 13, 2013 at Kannaday Funeral Home in Dillon.
Mr. Cook was born in Dillon, SC, March 2, 1952, the son of Alene McDowell Cook and the late Gibson Cook. He was a member of the Dillon Church of God. He farmed with Smithfield Farms.
He is survived by his mother of the home; his sons, Jason Cook and Bryan Cook of North Carolina; his daughter Tonya Cook of North Carolina; sisters, Janice Bourgoin of Dillon, SC and Virginia Turbeville (Yancy) of Lake View, SC; many nieces and nephews; and a special friend Michelle Causey.
