Services for James David Hill were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 16, 2013 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home.
Mr. Hill passed away November 13, 2013 at McLeod Medical Center in Florence.
Born in Longs, SC, August 23, 1931. He was the son of Edward and Eva Hill. He was a member of the Marion branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints and served honorably in the United States Army Air Corps during the Korean War.
Mr. Hill is survived by his wife of 63 years, Golda Olive Hill of the home; children Jimmy Hill (Gail), Rock Hill, Delaine Hill, Dillon, Eva Young Dillon, Cheryl Solesbee, Spartanburg, Linda Smith (Dallas), Pamplico, Edward Hill, McDonough, GA, Lisa Jackson (Glenn), Dillon, sixteen grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and sister Geraldine Helms.
He was preceded in death by his brother George Hill and sister Myrtle Busalaki.
