Several Locals Arrested In Prescription Drug Investigation

Lumberton Police Department Drug Investigations Unit wants to make the public aware of the high rise in prescription fraud investigations. Between September 29, 2013 and November 5, 2013 the Lumberton Police Department Drug Investigations Unit has arrested seven persons related to prescription fraud charges and 1 person listed below has outstanding warrants.
On Sunday, September 29, 2013 at approximately 4:46 p.m. Zebedee Hunter Ward, W/M 26 years old of Dillon ,  was arrested and charged with trafficking in opiates by possession, trafficking in opiates by transport, felony possession of schedule II controlled substance over 100 dosage units, maintain a drug vehicle, and obtaining a controlled substance by fraud. Ward passed a fraudulent prescription at Drugs America, located at 103 West 24th Street in Lumberton, NC 28358, to obtain Oxycodone. Ward was jailed in the Robeson County jail on a $40,000.00 secured bond. The investigation continues and more charges are expected.
On Saturday, October 5, 2013 at approximately 2:07 p.m. Christopher Gerson Bailey  W/M, 35 year old of Dillon,  was charged with attempting to traffic in opiates, attempt to felony possession of schedule II controlled substance over 100 dosage units, and attempt to obtain a controlled substance by fraud. Bailey attempted to pass a fraudulent prescription at Drugs America, located at 103 West 24th Street in Lumberton, NC 28358, to obtain Oxycodone. Bailey was jailed in the Robeson County jail on a $30,000.00 secured bond.
On Saturday, October 5, 2013 at approximately 6:00 p.m. Sirena Buchholtz W/F 41 years old of Fayetteville, NC was charged with three counts of obtaining a controlled substance by fraud, three counts of felony possession of schedule II controlled substance, and two counts of identity theft. Buchholtz passed fraudulent prescriptions to Drugs America located at 103 West 24th Street in Lumberton, NC 28358 n two separate dates September 16, 2013 and October 5, 2013 for Adderall a schedule II controlled substance. Buchholtz was jailed in the Robeson County jail on a $30,000.00 secured bond.
On Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at approximately 5:45 p.m. Lakisha Marie Clark W/F 28 years of age, Shamika Lynn Ward, W/F 25 years of age, Bobby Lee Scott, W/M 28 years of age, all of Dillon. Clark was arrested for trafficking in opiates by possession, conspiracy to traffic in opiates, felony possession of schedule II controlled substance over 100 dosage units, identity theft, and obtaining a controlled substance by fraud. Clark was jailed at the RC jail on a $30,000.00 secured bond. Ward was charged with trafficking in opiates by possession, conspiracy to traffic in opiates, felony possession of schedule II controlled substance over 100 dosage units, identity theft, and obtaining a controlled substance by fraud. Ward was jailed at the RC jail on a $30,000.00 secured bond. Scott was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant for obtaining a controlled substance by fraud out of Henderson County, North Carolina. Scott was jailed in the RC jail on a $7,500.00 secured bond. Ward passed a fraudulent prescription at Drugs America, located at 103 West 24th Street, Lumberton, NC 28358 to obtain Oxycodone.
A fourth person a Tracey Lee Rowell, W/M 40 years of age of Dillon,  has outstanding warrants for trafficking in opiates by possession, conspiracy to traffic in opiates, felony possession of schedule II controlled substance over 100 dosages, identity theft, and obtaining a controlled substance by fraud, related to the October 30, 2013 case.
On Monday, November 4, 2103 Quiana Lashanda Monroe, B/F 35 years of age of Lumberton, NC was charged with three counts of obtaining a controlled substance by fraud, and identity theft. Monroe passed fraudulent prescriptions to Wal-mart located at 5070 Fayetteville Road Lumberton, NC and Drugs America, located at 103 West 24th Street in Lumberton, NC. Monroe received a $10,000.00 unsecured bond at the magistrate’s office located at the RC jail.
