Man Appreciates Hospitality

To The Editor:
I am James Blazier, co-owner of JTB Printer Technical Service located in Conway, Arkansas.
I was in Latta on Monday and Tuesday of this week assisting a local manufacturer and was searching for some lunch on Tuesday.
I went to Shuler’s Bar-B- Que but found the doors locked and realized that they were only open Thursday thru Saturday.
Before I left the property, one of the kitchen staff members asked me to come on in through the exit door, and explained the hours of operation but was not going to let me leave hungry.
He prepared me two of the finest tasting barbecue sandwiches and a soft drink just because they were there working.
The owner, Mr Norton Hughes, came over to the table they allowed me to sit at (sat down inside even though they were closed) and we shared some quality hospitable conversation while I ate.
I felt like their best friend and right at home.
You can hardly find this kind of true hospitality anywhere in America anymore. My hats off to this barbecue resturant owner and staff.
This kind of service and hospitality, especially concern for my growling belly deserves recognition.
I am back in my office in Arkansas today and still in disbelief that this happened to me.
Nothing close has ever happened in my many travels and I have visited more than 70 countries and all 50 United States.
Sometimes we grow to believe that no one cares anymore but this resturant has restored my faith in mankind.
I will likely never again find this faith restoration, hospitality, and outstanding barbecue sandwich all in the one place ever again.
You can bet that I am going back for more and bringing my colleges. God Bless America and Shuler’s Bar-B-Que in Latta.
Thank You,
James Blazier
