Mildred Faye Cook, 71, died Monday, October 21, 2013 at the MUSC in Charleston.
Memorial services will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday at Latta Baptist Church with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home. Visitation will be held 2:00-3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Born in Dillon County, SC, May 31, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Phillip Cook, Jr. and Mattie Turbeville Cook.
She was a former member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church where she taught sunday school to 4 and 5 year olds for many years, and was also a member and soloist in the choir for many years. She was the Pee Dee Baptist Associational WMU Director from 1993-1997.
She was a current member of Latta Baptist Church where she taught sunday school to 4th-6th grade students. Mildred worked for David’s Accounting Service for 45+ years.
Survivors include her brother, Robert (Sara) Cook of Latta; sister, Margaret (Eddie) Scott of Dillon; 6 nieces and nephews.
