An assault occurred on Friday night around midnight, according to Captain Cliff Arnette of the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office. The assault occurred on East Dargan Street.
Arnette said that a wreck occurred. The assault victim apparently ran into the person who allegedly assaulted him. He said words were exchanged and the incident escalated which led to the victim being assaulted.
Arnette said that Shykeem Blue, age 18, of Dillon was arrested and charged with assault and battery first degree.
The initial officer at the scene was Sgt. Michael Barfield. Reggie Thompson is the investigator on the case.
