Dillon Kiwanis Present Awards

The Dillon Kiwanis held a special awards ceremony on Tuesday, July 30, at B&C Steak & Barb-B-Que in Dillon.

Jason Blum “Never Say Quit” Major League Award winner Corinthian McLaughlin with presenter Coach Terry Wayne Jackson.

The Jason Blum “Never Say Quit” Award was presented to two players, one in the Major League and one in the Minors. The awards were presented by special guests since Jason Blum was unable to attend the ceremony due to hospitalization.

Coach Terry Wayne Jackson presented the Major League award to Corinthian McLaughlin, who played for the Dillon Meat Center Reds.

Kiwanis President Darryl Miller presented the Minor League award to Nathan Hyler, who played for the Physicians Healthcare Pirates.

Also during the ceremony, Kiwanis secretary Lonnie Turner welcomed the 27th member of the Kiwanis, Dennis Cox, Jr., with a special pinning ceremony.
