Posters for “Where Does Your Water Shed” contest was held and we had over 60 entries! These represented five area schools, South Elementary, East Elementary, Lake View Elementary, Lake View Middle School and Hyler Home School. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in each of the categories were awarded prizes, and all of the participants were given Certificates of Participation. The 1st place winner in each category will represent the Dillon District in the state competition. 
A big shout out and THANK YOU goes to the teachers who participated and allowed their students to learn about his subject, during this busy time of the school year. The teachers are Ms. Sharon Ann Williams, Lake View Middle School; Ms. Pam Gasque, Ms. Kim Garris, Ms. Stephanie Long, of Lake View Elementary; Ms. Amanda Burdin, Lake View Schools Art Teacher; and Ms. Michele Allen, Dillon Elementary Arts Teacher, and Ms. Teri Hyler.
The following students will represent Dillon County in the state competition: Category 2nd -3rd Grade-Alicia Cruz Villa Gomez (East Elementary); Category 4th -6th Grade-Sarah Rachel Rogers (Lake View Middle School); Category 7th-9th Grade-Hannah Grace Hyler (Hyler’s Home School).
