Rev. Ron Taylor Speaks To Brotherhood

Rev. Ron Taylor, Director of Missions for the Pee Dee Baptist Association, was the guest speaker for the Mount Calvary Baptist Church Brotherhood.  Before speaking everyone enjoyed a delicious meal at the Mount Calvary Family Life Center.
Rev. Taylor spoke of his recent mission trip to Honduras.  He stressed the importance of church working together to benefit more people.
Rev. Taylor spoke from Acts 16: 9 and10.
He informed the Brotherhood that this recent mission trip was the best organized that he had ever had the opportunity to have to witness to people.
While in the remote areas of Honduras this mission group offered free medical and dental clinics, clothes, beans and rice, etc.  Before anyone could receive anything, one must hear the gospel that began as early as 7:00 a.m.  The mission group had 4 or 5 services per day.  This mission trip was especially blessed because during every service at least one person was saved.  In fact, during the daytime services, over 100 people received salvation!
The mission group also had Vacation Bible School for the children (and adults).  Once again, over 100 received salvation!
The group dispensed over 9,000 prescriptions while there.
One member of the group led 53 people to the Lord while witnessing daily at the bus stop.
All together there were 376 salvations in 3 days!
Rev. Taylor stressed that our job as Christians is to make disciples for Jesus Christ our Saviour.
