Dillon Defeats Lamar in 8U Tournament

Dillon Recreation hosted the first rounds of the 8U softball tournament this week with Dillon picking up a 19-1 win over Lamar on Tuesday night.

Dillon lead 16-1 after two innings, and Dillon led off the third with a grounder from #8, who made it safely to first. Dillon’s #00 hit a grounder to the shortstop to advance, and Dillon’s #17 Logan Grice hit an inside the park home run to put Dillon up 19-1 after three.

Lamar took the field for the top of the fourth, but couldn’t get any momentum with one batter fouling down first for an out and another striking out.

The tournament was scheduled to continue this week.
