On Saturday, June 1, the 8U Dillon Diamond Backs won first place in the WFC Travel Ball Classic tournament at Freedom Florence.
The Diamond Backs defeated the team Trouble, out of Laurinburg, 18-7 in the championship game. The win gave both teams one loss on the day and forced a championship shootout, where the Diamond Backs beat Trouble 4-2 to win the championship title.
