Libby’s Recipes: Chocolate Lasagna

How about a decadent chocolate dessert this week?
   
Chocolate Lasagna
One package Oreo cookies (not Double Stuff)
6 tablespoons butter, melted
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons cold milk
12 oz. carton Cool Whip
2 pk. (3.9 oz. each) instant chocolate pudding
3 1/4 cups cold milk
chocolate chips to garnish

Crush Oreos and combine with melted butter Press into 9×13 pan. Refrigerate to chill. Mix cream cheese with electric mixer until fluffy. Add 1/4 cup sugar and 2 tablespoons milk and mix again. Stir in about 3/4 of Cool Whip. Spread this over crust and return to refrigerator.
Place pudding mixes and 3 1/4 cups cold milk in separate bowl and whisk until mixed. Allow to stand a few minutes until it starts to thicken. Spread over cream cheese layer and return to refrigerator. Lastly, spread remaining Cool Whip on top and garnish with chocolate chips. Needs to be in freezer at least one hour or refrigerator at least 4 hours before serving.
