The Latta Vikings picked up a come-from-behind 3-2 win over Lake View tonight to advance to the state title series on Monday. The Wild Gators led throughout the game, but Latta picked up the win in the bottom of the seventh inning.
Latta will host St. Joseph’s on Monday night in the first of a best of three series for the state title.
In softball action, the Lady Vikings took a 1-0 loss from East Clarendon. The Lady Wolverines will host Dixie on Monday.
In Class 2A, Dillon’s Lady Wildcats picked up an 11-1 win over Waccamaw to force a second game. The Wildcats tied things up 3-3 with the Warriors to force an eighth inning, where Waccamaw claimed a 4-3 win to advance to the state series. Waccamaw will travel to Crescent on Monday.
