Two Men Arrested For Taking Funeral Home Tents

Two men have been arrested with taking two funeral home tents from the Magnolia Cemetery in Latta recently.
Captain Cliff Arnette of the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office said that Luther Jackson, age 54, Dillon, and Donald Ray Hayes, age 50, Dillon, have been charged with grand larceny in connection with the case.
According to the initial report by Deputy Philip Davis of the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office,   two funeral home tents were taken sometime between February 7 and February 9. The tents had been placed at a location at Magnolia Cemetery for a service and when the funeral home staff went to remove them on February 9 around 5 p.m., they were gone. The tents had Kannaday written on them. They cost about $1,500 each.
Arnette said that the two men sold the tents.
The case was investigated by Investigators Reggie Thompson and Allan Rogers of the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office.
