Services for George Newton Chesser will be held Tuesday February 12, 2013 at 3 p.m. in Trinity Holiness Church in Latta with burial in the church cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home. Visitation was 7-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Chesser, 50, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, February 9, 2013.
Born in Dillon County, SC, July 3, 1962, he was the son of the late Newton Chesser and Lillian Frances Haselden Chesser. He was a cashier at Tiger Mart.
Survivors include his wife, Sallie Chesser of Dillon; step children, Wayne Cribbs (Amy) of Fairmont, N.C. and Regina Garner (Jason) of Sellers; brother, Robert Chesser of Lincolnton, GA; sisters, Kathy Herring of Spindale, N.C., Debra Godbolt (Jimmy) of Marion, Wanda Weatherford (Junior) of Crossnore, N.C., and Judy Ward (Ray) of Sellers; Grandchildren, Samuel Garner, Issac Garner, Emily Cribbs, and Elijah Cribbs; 21 neices and nephews; many great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Newton Chesser, Jr.; and his sisters, Lorrie Caulder, Mary Weatherford, and Maggie Gooding.
