Dillon Christian School’s Lady Warriors wrapped up the regular season with a loss to Pee Dee Academy and a pair of losses to The King’s Academy.
On Thursday, the Warriors traveled to Florence to face The King’s Academy and fell 47-18 to the Lady Lions.
King’s took a 10-4 lead in the first first and outscored Dillon Christian 18-3 in the second to take a wide 28-7 lead at the half. The Lady Lions outpaced the Warriors 19-11 in the second half to seal the win.
Lauren Lee led the Warriors in the loss with a team-high seven points. Kylee Sullivan and Greta Seay each added four, with Jamie Carpenter earning three and Amanda Bass scoring two.
Anna Van Baaren scored a game-high 14 points for the Lions with Addie Bokelman adding 13. Liza Dean, Danielle Brown, Taylor Weatherford, and Kellen Lott each added four four points in the win, and Eliza Wilhoit and Emily Parnell each earned two points for The King’s Academy.
On Friday, the Lady Warriors traveled to Mullins to take on Pee Dee Academy, falling 50-26 to the Lady Eagles.
Pee Dee took a 14-5 lead in the first quarter and went 12-7 and 13-0 in the second and third. The Lady Warriors rallied for a 14-11 fourth quarter, but it was too late to close the gap.
Lauren Lee earned a team-high 11 points with Amanda Bass and Kylee Sullivan each adding seven and Kathyrn Brown scoring one for the Warriors.
Mary Gregg led Pee Dee with a game-high 18 points and Jennifer Smith contributed 11 points in the win. Meg Webster and Tori Johnson each added six points, and Anna Jacobs earned five with Karlee Dozier scoring four.
Pee Dee Academy improved to 18-2 overall and 11-1 in SCISA Region 4-2A with the win.
On Saturday, Dillon Christian traveled to Florence once more to take on The King’s Academy in the region tournament, taking a 56-13 loss to the Lions. The Lady Lions jumped ahead 18-4 in the first quarter and went 19-2, 13-3, and 6-4 in the remaining periods to seal the win.
Lauren Lee, Kylee Sullivan, and Amanda Bass each scored four points in the loss, with Kathryn Brown adding one.
Addie Bokelman scored a game-high 15 points to led the Lions, with Anna Van Baaren adding 13, Eliza Wilhoit scoring 12, and Taylor Weatherford contributing six points in the win. Lizzy Dean and Emily Parnell each earned four points and Danielle Brown scored two.
The King’s Academy improved to 12-11 as they prepared to face Carolina Academy on Monday night to determine who would advance to the SCISA Class 2A state tournament.
