Lonnie Earl Brooks, 69, died Saturday, January 5, 2013 at his residence.
Memorial services will be held 10:30 A.M. Wednesday at Latta Baptist Church. Burial will be held at 1:00 P.M. in the Florence National Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home.
Born in Del Rio, Texas, September 28, 1943, he was the son of the late Earl Brooks and Mary Crawford Brooks. He was a U.S. Marine Veteran, member of Latta Baptist Church, and a retired Master Electrician. He was a hardworking man, a great provider for his family, a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Survivors include his wife, Betty L. Brooks of Latta; children, Deborah (Douglas) Rippe of Oxnard, CA, Daniel K. (Renee) Brooks of Denver, CO, Sandra Brooks of Dallas, TX, and Steven (Ranelle) Brooks of Waynesville, MO; half-brother, John Brooks Boyajian of CA; 8 grandchildren.
