Earl Jackson

Memorial services for Earl Jackson were held 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Mt. Andrew United Methodist Church directed by Cooper Funeral Home.
Mr. Jackson, 85, died Friday, December 14, 2012 at the Pines Nursing Home.
Born in Dillon County, SC, September 14, 1927, he was the son of the late Wallie Jackson and Leona Johnson Jackson.  
He was a member of Mt. Andrew United Methodist Church, was a U.S. Army Veteran having served in World War II, and the Korean Conflict, and was retired from Dixiana Mills after 33 years of service.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Betty Oates Jackson of Dillon; daughter, Betty Anne (Mickey) Miles of Dillon; son, Robert Earl (Cindy) Jackson of Floydale; sister, Ruth Epps of Dillon; 5 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by his sisters, Gladys Hyatt, Magalene Hyatt, and Mildred Moore; brother, Cecil Jackson.
