Warriors Play in North-South All Star Game

Three Dillon Christian Warriors took to the football field at the Orangeburg Prep stadium for the SCISA North-South All-Star game on Saturday, December 1.

Defensive end Will Shelley, defensive line backer John Michael Price, and defensive lineman Dorrian Sellers were all chosen from Dillon Christian to play for the North team, which won the game 14-9.

Shelley made five tackles and 1 1/2 sacks, while Price made six tackles and forced one fumble and Sellers made three tackles.

Chantwan Damon of Trinity-Byrnes led the North with 57 yards rushing and two touchdowns. Trinity-Byrnes’ Kalin Brown-McFadden had three catches for the North, and Florence Christian’s Gordon Mattison had two pass breakups on defense for the north squad.

Ashton Sutton of Trinity-Byrnes, Nic Query and Jeffrey Tucker of The King’s Academy, Akul Patel of Williamsburg Academy, and and Dylan Tidwell of Robert E. Lee Academy also played for the North. Trinity-Byrnes’ Jared Amell coached for the North and Michael Hawk, also of Trinity-Byrnes, assisted.
