Dillon’s King Named Lower State Lineman of the Year

Dillon’s Bryce King was named Class 2A lower state lineman of the year by the South Carolina Football Coaches Association as part of their Palmetto Champions All-Star team.

King is a four-star recruit and one of South Carolina’s top prospects and has verbally committed to play for the Gamecocks. The 6-foot-5, 300-pound offensive lineman is a four-year starter for the Wildcats and has also been chosen to play in the Shrine Bowl and in the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl.He also participated in the National Under Armour Combine earlier this year and has fielded offers from several universities.

Other Class 2A honorees included upper state back of the year Nicholas Sims-Metts, Mid-Carolina; upper state lineman Eric Gallman, Newberry; lower state back DeAngelo Stephenson, Bishop England; specialist Luke White, Abbeville; upper state coach Jeff Murdock, Crescent; and lower state coach Jody Jenerette, Aynor.

Class A honorees were upper state back Malcolm Means, Lewisvlle; upper state lineman Jahmaya Jenkins, Williston-Elko; lower state back Brandon Hampton, Timmonsville; lower state lineman Stefan Hannah, Carvers Bay; specialist Franklin King, Timmonsville; upper state coach Ken Tucker, Wagener-Salley; and lower state coach Nate Thompson, Carvers Bay.
