The Dillon County First Steps Partnership Board has announced that Mrs. Kimberly Walsh, Principal, Lake View Elementary, will serve as the keynote speaker for the Dillon County First Steps Annual Board Meeting at Brandi’s Banquet Hall, 502 Lockemy Highway, Dillon, SC on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at 6:00 PM.
Kimberly Walsh is the Principal of Lake View Elementary School in Dillon District Four. Under her direct leadership, the school has been named a Palmetto Gold and Palmetto Silver Award School for the last six years. They have also won the Red Carpet School Award for their outstanding customer friendliness and positive school climate. Lake View Elementary was recently named a Title One Reward School for Academic Performance.
Before coming to Lake View, Mrs. Walsh served as the Testing and Early Childhood Coordinator for Darlington County School District and as the Support Coordinator for Marion District Seven. Previous to her administrative work, she served as a teacher at J.V. Martin, Stewart Heights, and Gordon Elementary.
Mrs. Walsh received her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Francis Marion University and her Master’s Degree in Elementary Administration and Supervision from Winthrop University. She has devoted 20 years to serving our students and parents in the Pee Dee Area and enjoys making a difference in the lives of our children.
