On Saturday, August 4, Backyard Hope sponsored its fourth annual Back to School Bash at the City of Dillon Wellness Center.
The event was sponsored by various local churches, businesses, and individuals.
Each student in attendance received access to many community partners.
Free haircuts were available, as well as free healthcare screenings, including sports physicals, vision screenings, dental screenings, and scoliosis screenings.
Families also received information on nutrition, immunizations and student and athlete safety.
Additionally, several local pastors and counselors were on sight to share information about what the Bible says about how you can be sure you will go to Heaven when you die.

Many families took advantage of this opportunity, and 78 people prayed to receive Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour!
After taking advantage of all the great information and services, each student received a backpack filled with age-appropriate school supplies.
Backyard Hope would like to thank all of their amazing volunteers, exhibitors, and service providers. They greatly appreciate our generous sponsors and all of the wonderful local barbers and hair stylists who donated vouchers for students to come to their shop to receive services.
Over the past four years, this group has helped to minister to more than 3,000 students and their families.
