The Dillon County Probation and Parole Department held a two-mile walk in memory of fallen officers on Friday morning as part of their observance of Probation and Parole Week in South Carolina.
Probation and Parole agents from throughout the area as well as law enforcement officers and others gathered at the track at the Dillon City Sports Complex for the event.
After a few brief remarks by Agent in Charge Antonio Vaught, a moment of silence and a balloon release was held. Then the walk began.
Vaught said he plans for this to be an annual event.
