Edward Leland “Eddie” Hill went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, July 8, 2012.
Memorial services will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday at New Life Assembly, 2470 Hwy 301 S.C., Dillon.
Born in New Bern, NC, August 28, 1953, he was the son of Edward Franklin Hill and the late Janice Gaskins Hill. He was a dedicated member of New Life Family Worship Center where he served as President of the Men’s Ministry, the Van Ministry, and served in the Children’s Department. Eddie was a singer/songwriter and musician of gospel music. He was a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association (CMA), Victory Rider’s, Florence, SC, and was a retired federal government worker of 25 years at Cherry Point Naval Base in Havelock, NC, and Co-owner/Operator of Latta Sweet Shoppe. He loved the Lord Jesus Christ with all of his heart.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Lynn Hill of Latta; father, Edward Franklin Hill of New Bern, NC; children, Buddy Giasson of Charlotte, NC, Nicholas Lorenz, Sarah Rushing, Kenneth Jones, and Kody Jones, all of the home; Elizabeth Hill Waltz, and Jennifer Lewis; sisters, Janet Eborn, Cathie Robinson, and Debbie Frederick, all of New Bern, NC.
Mr. Hill was preceded in death by his mother, Janice Gaskins Hill; and his brother, Danny Hill.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Run for the Son/Open Doors, (Christian Motorcycle Association), P.O. Box 9 Hatfield, Arkansas 71945.
