James Biven Long died at his home, Tuesday, July 3, 2012. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, June 6, 2012 at the Latta Baptist Church in with burial in Magnolia Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. prior to the service at the Church. Kannaday Funeral Home in Latta is assisting the family.
Mr. Long was born in Latta, SC August 15, 1922, the son of the late David and Hattie Hamilton Long. He was a retired farmer and antique dealer. Mr. Long was a member of Latta Baptist Church. He was the former owner of House of Willow Antiques in Little Rock, SC.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce McMillan Long of the home; sons Johnny Biven (Barbara) Long of Mullins, SC, Christopher Long and Edwin Wu of Mytrle Beach, SC; step-sons, Wade (Molly) McMillan of Florence, SC and Steve (Sandra) McMillan of Dillon, SC; daughters, Patricia Evelyn (Kenneth) Stokes of San Antonio, TX and Kathy Sadler (Nazmy) Khalil of Dillon, SC; step-daughter, Cindy M. (Ernest) Hyatt of Little River, SC; sister, Elgiereen Bethea of Latta, SC; twelve granchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by six brothers and one sister.
